Public lighting is an important part of the infrastructure. And an important part of the energy and ecological balance. The aim is to combine lighting quality and energy efficiency. The southern Hessian town of Bensheim is keeping its eye on the traditional while building on technological progress: with LED modules from the Glocke luminaire family and with the highly efficient Streetlight SL 10 from SITECO. These help the city save some 40 % in electricity compared to the old system and significantly improve lighting quality. And the best thing: The traditional cityscape was preserved.
